Moving Sidebar Navigation
Depending on the layout configuration of a page on the old version of Web Express, the sidebar navigation may not be migrated to the correct location. In the steps below we'll show how to move the sidebar navigation back to the right place. In this example, the sidebar navigation is in a section at the bottom of the page rather than in a column next to the content.
Option 1 - Move all content to the same section and column
Open the Layout Builder and add a two-column section for where the sidebar navigation should appear. In this example, we'll combine the content of the two top sections and place the navigation in a sidebar next to it.
Click the "Add section" link at the top of the page and select the two column option with the 66/34 width.
Click and drag the content from the section(s) below into the left column, including the page title.
Click and drag the menu placeholders from the bottom of the page to the right column.
- Scroll to the top and click the "Save layout" link.
Option 2 - Move top content and menu to a two-column section
If your page content contains sections with backgrounds, or you want the content to span the width of the page, try this option:
Open the Layout Builder and add a two-column section for where the sidebar navigation should appear. In this example, we'll combine the content of the two top sections and place the navigation in a sidebar next to it.
Click the "Add section" link at the top of the page and select the two column option with the 66/34 width.
- Click and drag the title and first content block from the section below into the left column.
Click and drag the menu placeholders from the bottom of the page to the right column.
- Scroll to the top and click the "Save layout" link.
