Fixing Video Embed Shortcodes

In the old version of Web Express, videos were added to content via a shortcode, and would usually appear in the editor like this:

[video:https://youtube.com/watch?v=?v=kCbPiZWYnfM]

The new version of Web Express uses the new media library to store these references, making it easy if you ever need to reuse, or embed a video in multiple places.

Replacing the shortcode with a media library embed

1. Edit the content that contains the video shortcode
2. Copy the video url
3. Select the shortcode text and delete it

4. Click the insert media button in the WYSIWYG editor toolbar

   

5. Click to the video tab

   

6. Paste the video url in the url box and click the Add button

   

7. Click the save button on the video description window

8. Click the insert selected button to add the video to the content

   

9. Save the content
