Creating a child page

Building out a structure to your website requires you set pages to be children or parents of other pages. Doing so will create a hierarchy of your site's content and can help define sections in your site.

There's a couple things you need to know to build these structures:

  1. Pages must be added to the menu in order to be set as a parent page.
  2. Parent pages need to be created first. Build your pages from the top to the bottom.

Setting the parent page

In the example below, I have created two pages. One titled Parent Page, and the other titled Child Page.

  1. Check the "Provide Menu Link" checkbox
  2. Select the page from the menu you want to be the parent:

Child pages should appear automatically in the site menu. If you do not see the menu, the menu is either being hidden or the menu block was deleted from the page layout.
