Link to Other Pages & Content
Web Express provides an easy way to link to other pages and content (including uploaded PDFs and Word docs) on your site from the editor.
Select Text in Editor
- In the Body content area, highlight the text that you want to make a link.
- Click the Link icon in the toolbar.
Link to Content on Your Site
Note: Content must be created before you can link to it. You need to upload a file, before you can link to it. See Upload Files tutorial for instructions on how to do so.
- Search for the title of the content you want to link to by typing in the Link field. Once you start typing, the form will autocomplete and provide suggested content for you.
- Select the content in the Link field that you want to link to.
- Click the green check mark.
Rotating Between Files
You can replace an uploaded file in the media library and you will not need to update the file hyperlink in the content of pages or blocks where it is linked..
- Using the admin menu: select Content > Media > Media Library.
- Use the filter to locate the file you need to edit.
- Click the edit icon on the file.
- In the Replace file section, click Choose File to upload a new version of the file.
- Check Overwrite original file. The original filename is kept and its contents are replaced with the new file, which must have the same file extension.
- Uncheck Overwrite original file when the replacement file is not the same file type.
- Click Save.
