Content Sequence Block

Display a time-based sequence of content such as important dates or milestones. Simple Content Sequence blocks may display either horizontally or vertically on a page. 

Create a Content Sequence

  1. Navigate to the page you'd like to update, and enter the Edit mode for the page.
  2. Click on the Layout tab.
  3. Choose the Section you would like to add the content sequence block.
  4. Click on Add Block in that section.
  5. Click on Create content block in the configuration sidebar.
  6. Select Content Sequence Block from the list of options.

Configure Simple Content Sequence

For a simple Content Sequence block we will focus mainly with the fields on the General Tab.

  1. Title: this displays above the block when placed on a page.
  2. Display title: enabled by default, toggle the button to hide the block title.

Title Tab:

Each content sequence section consists of a title, content and date. The required elements are titles and body content. Adding images and videos are optional.

  1.  Item Title: (required) enter the title.
  2. Item URL (optional) add a URL link here.

Content tab: 

  1. Item Description: Use the editor to enter the body content.
  2. Item Media:
    1. Image: you may add an image. Upload the image and provide alternative text.
    2. Video: you may add a video to the slide. Enter the URL of a Vimeo or YouTube video.

      Note: Videos have priority. If you uploaded an image and already have a video URL on a slide, the video will display on the slide and not the image.

Date tab: 

Dates and times are optional. You may add a unique name to each slide such as "Step One" in the Display Date field. If you leave the Display Date field empty the sequence items are numbered.

  1. Start Date:
    1. Item Display State Date: enter text to add a unique name to each slide such as "Step One"
    2. Start date: (optional) Use the calendar to select a date.
  2. End Date:
    1. Item Display State Date: enter text
    2. Start date: (optional) Use the calendar to select a date.
  3. Click Add Content Sequence Item to add more slides.

Save Block

  1. Click Add Block.
  2. Click Save layout.
