Adding a Header Image to Other Content Types

This tutorial requires you have the Site Manager or Layout Manager role.

Not all content types in Web Express have the ability to add a title background image. Articles have a setting for this, and basic pages can do this through layout builder.

If you want to have an image at the top of the page on other content types there is a way to do this.

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Create a text block by navigating to Manage > Content > Blocks > Add Content Block > Text Block.
  2. Name your block and insert an image into the editor by clicking on the insert media button.

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click save.
  4. Navigate to Manage > Structure > Block Layout.
  5. Scroll down to the Above Content region and click the Place Block button.

  6. Find the block you created in the list, or filter the list by typing in the block name and click the Place Block button.

  7. Make sure to uncheck the "Display Title" checkbox.
  8. Click on the "Pages" tab and enter the path of the page you want this block to appear on. If you don't enter a path here it will display on every page in the site.

  9. Click the Save Block button to close the modal window, then scroll to the bottom and click the Save Blocks button.
  10. Navigate to your page to see the image displayed above the title.
