Faculty Publications

The Faculty Publications block allows you to show a faculty member's, or multiple faculty member's publication content from experts.colorado.edu.

This is a block, so there are a couple ways you can add this to a site.

Faculty Publications on a Basic Page

You can add the faculty publications block via Layout Builder to a basic page. This is the best recommendation when you want to show publications from an entire department or multiple faculty members. You can also use this method if you want this to appear as a child page of a person page on the site.

  1. Navigate to the page you want to add the block.
  2. Click the Layout link in the blue bar to edit the layout.
  3. Click the Add block link in a section.
  4. Choose the Faculty Publications block from the list on the right.
  5. Configure the block to pull content from experts.colorado.edu.

Faculty Publications on a Person Page

If you have a number of people you want to show faculty publications for, you can add a block to all person pages and have it pull in publications using the email address on the person page.

  1. Navigate to Manage > Structure > Block Layout.
  2. Scroll down to the Content region and click the Place block button.

  3. Click the Add content block button and choose Faculty Publications from the list.
  4. Give the block a description, then scroll down and check the "If placed on a person page, use that person's email automatically" checkbox.

  5. Scroll down and click the Save and configure button.
  6. Click the "Content type" tab in the visibility section and choose Person from the list. This will add the block only to person pages. If you need to restrict it from some person pages, you can do that in the "Pages" tab.

  7. Select "Content" from the region menu.
  8. Click the Save block button
  9. You may need to drag the block you just created to the bottom of the region so it displays under all of the other Person content.
