Embed a Video

Embed a video directly in your page by using the Insert Media icon in the editor or from the Media Library admin page.

1. Using the admin menu: select Content > Media > Add media 
2. Using the Content Editor: click the Insert media button in the content editor. (The icon resembles a photograph connected to a musical note.)

Adding Video via the Media Library

1. Add media to the library using the Admin menu, go to Content > Media > Add Media.
2. Choose the Video.

Configure Video

1. Enter the Name of the video.
2. Paste in the Remote video URL (video share link).
3. Click Save.

The video is now ready to be selected and used from the Media Library.

Adding/ selecting media while editing content

1. In the Body area and place your cursor in the content where you would like the image to appear.
2. Click the Insert media button in the content editor.

Add Video URL

1. Select Video from the tabs at the left.
2. Add Video via URL: Paste the video share URL in the field.
3. Click Add.

Configure Video Name

The media item has been created but has not yet been saved. Fill in any required fields and save to add it to the media library.

1. Confirm or edit the video Name.
2. Click Save.

Insert Video

Back in the Media Library, your new video should be selected, Click Insert Selected.

Formatting the Video

1. Select the video to bring up the formatting tools.
2. If the video is embedded with surrounding text content. you may select the text wrap options. This will make the video slightly smaller.
3. You may also use the Layout Builder. Embed the video in a text block. Place the block in a multicolumn section to configure the size. The video will expand to fit its container.

Video Embed Supported Sites

Web Express does not have a video player so we use streaming video sites that allow for embedding videos. Supported sites are Vimeo, YouTube, YouTube (Playlist).
