Article Feature Block

The Article Feature block displays the latest articles with the first article displaying a large image and summary and the remaining articles displaying titles and thumbnails.

Create an Article Feature Block

  1. Navigate to the page you'd like to update, and enter the Edit mode for the page.
  2. Click on the Layout tab.
  3. Choose the Section you would like to add the article feature block.
  4. Click on Add Block in that section.
  5. Click on Create content block in the Configuration Sidebar.
  6. Select Article Feature Block from the list of options.
  7. Choose Inline or Reusable block option.

Note: Select Inline block if this block will only appear on this page. Select Reusable block  if this block needs to appear on multiple pages. When in doubt create an Inline block. Inline blocks may be converted to reusable blocks at a later time if needed. Enter Title and Paragraph Content

  1. Title: (required) this displays above the block when placed on a page.
  2. Display title: enabled by default, toggle the button to hide the block title.
  3. Body: use this to place your text and images. You can use the editor in the body to style your content and images.

Set Display Options

  1. Display drop-down options:
    1. Inline 50/50: the feature article is aligned left and the article list is aligned right with both displaying equally in the block.
    2. Inline 66/33: the feature article is aligned left and the article list is aligned right. The feature article takes up two thirds of the space in the block.
    3. Stacked: the feature article is stacked on top of the article list.
  2. Image Size drop-down options:
    1. Regular: 3:2 aspect ratio. This creates a photo with a width 1.5 larger than the height
    2. Wide: a wide slider image style. This is a 4:3 aspect ratio that creates a photo with a width 1.33 larger than the height.

Select Filters

Choose which articles will appear by selecting from the available categories and tags.

  1. Include Filters Tab
    1. Select the categories and tags to filter by.
  2. Exclude Filters Tab
    1. Select the categories and tags to exclude.

More Link

The More Link is a link which takes the reader to an Article List Page with more articles.

  1. URL: Use the search function to search by page title for an existing article list page.
  2. Link Text: Enter the title of the link.

Save Block

  1. Click Add Block.

Save Layout

  1. Click Save layout.
