Article List Block

Displays your articles in a list. We’ve got several list formats -- feature, teaser, title & thumbnail and title.

Demo: Article List Block

Create an Article List Block

  1. Navigate to the page you'd like to update, and enter the Edit mode for the page.
  2. Click on the Layout tab.
  3. Choose the Section you would like to add the article grid block.
  4. Click on Add Block in that section.
  5. Click on Create content block in the Configuration Sidebar.
  6. Select Article List Block from the list of options.
  7. Choose Inline or Reusable block option.

Note: Select Inline block if this block will only appear on this page. Select Reusable block  if this block needs to appear on multiple pages. When in doubt create an Inline block. Inline blocks may be converted to reusable blocks at a later time if needed. Learn more about Inline and Reusable blocks.

Enter Title and Paragraph Content

  1. Title: (required) this displays above the block when placed on a page.
  2. Display title: enabled by default, toggle the button to hide the block title.
  3. Body: use this to place your text and images. You can use the editor in the body to style your content and images.

Select Filters

Choose which articles will appear by selecting from the available categories and tags.

  1. Include Filters Tab
    1. Select the categories and tags to filter by.
  2. Exclude Filters Tab
    1. Select the categories and tags to exclude.

Set Article Count

  1. Items to Display: Select the number of articles to display.

Select Display Mode

  1. Under the Display Mode drop-down, choose one of the following options.
    • Teaser (Title, thumbnail & summary)
    • Feature with Wide Photo (Wide photo, title, & summary)
    • Feature with Full Photo (Full photo, title, & summary)
    • Title & thumbnail
    • Titles

Add a More link

The Link URL displays at the bottom of the grid and can be set to link to an Article List Page that lists more articles. The Article List Page will need to be created first.

  1. URL: the node number of the article list page.
  2. Title: text that will display on the link. For example: "Read More".

Block Style Options

Save Block

  1. Click Add Block.

Save Layout

  1. Click Save layout.
